The Neue Nationalgalerie

I spent part of my Saturday solo-exploring Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie ("New National Gallery"), designed by Mies van der Rhoe and completed in 1968, a year before the celebrated architect's death. Beneath the entry level — which is empty save for a contemporary installation on the ceiling — are the actual galleries, which house many important 20th-century works of European painting and sculpture. My Flickr set has all my photos, along with captions identifying what's what.

Hi Stephen,

Love the pictures. And, of course, have always loved Mies van der Rohe's work......less is indeed more.
